James Allen – Program Manager, Education Services
James leads and develops all of PLAN’s educational programs and manages all local school partnerships. James has been working with children in Baltimore City for the last 32 years in various settings including the Children’s Diagnostic Treatment Center, Baltimore Christian School and St. Elizabeth’s School, where he is currently employed. He earned an Associate of Arts in Communication from Baltimore Community College, and has recieved much child-centered training during his decades working with students. He became a follower of Christ at age 20, and considers working with children his life’s work. As a longtime member of the Pen Lucy community, he feels blessed to be leading PLAN’s work in the community.

Lynn Beans – Learning Center Supervisor
Lynn serves as an evening supervisor for PLAN’s Learning Center, where she provides academic and spiritual support for students and their tutors. After graduating from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, she pursued a career in youth ministry for eight years and has since made her way back into the classroom through Baltimore County Public Schools. Lynn loves working with PLAN because it brings together two of her primary interests, educational justice and a passion for the reconciling work of the gospel. She appreciates the Learning Center’s core value of meeting the needs of the whole child.
Myah Stokes - Learning Center Supervisor
Myah serves as a first-time supervisor for PLAN’s Learning Center, where she provides academic and spiritual support for students and their tutors. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose photography, film, and other works have been showcased in Baltimore Magazine, on the LED Baltimore Billboard, and Artscape. Her films have been screened at festivals in Trenton, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Myah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media and Film from Towson University in December 2024. Additionally, she works as an instructor at her alma mater, the Baltimore School for the Arts. Myah gives thanks to God for the opportunities and blessings in her life.

Ann Maouyo – Summer Teaching Artist
Ann serves as the visual arts instructor for PLANarts. She has written English language arts curricula for underserved youth for the past twenty years with a Johns Hopkins University program. A longtime member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church, Ann serves as a member of the Women’s Leadership Team, women’s Bible study leader, and adult Sunday school teacher. Ann holds a BA in French and a graduate diploma in French African literature. She is currently pursuing an MA in Christian Thought at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Alissa Rogers – Summer Programs Supervisor
Alissa manages the practical aspects of both PLANarts and the Summer Reading Club for our Summer@Faith program. During the school year, she teaches 6th grade English and social studies at Morrell Park Elementary/Middle School in Southwest Baltimore. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English education (4-8) from Messiah College, and recently obtained her master’s degree in secondary English education and special education through Urban Teachers, an alternative teacher training program. Baltimore and the Pen Lucy neighborhood hold a special place in her heart, and she feels honored and blessed to be a part of PLAN.
Brian Sessions – Summer Teaching Artist
Brian Sessions serves as a spoken word performance and video teaching artist for PLANarts. Brian is a community activist, artist, and mentor who is passionate about helping youth and young adults find their identity, security, and purpose in life through Jesus Christ. He is a Baltimore native and the founder of The Remnant of Christ, LLC, an arts organization and ministry that uses arts and entertainment as a platform for delivering the gospel message. He is married to ShaDawn Sessions and is the father of two boys.
ShaDawn Sessions – Summer Teaching Artist
ShaDawn serves as a dance teaching artist for PLANarts. A native of Baltimore City, she is the founder and director of Grace Abounds Mentoring through the Arts, a non-profit that mentors inner city youth through various performing arts. Dawn has received training in ballet, modern, and African dance. She holds a BS in criminal justice from the University of Baltimore and is married to Brian Sessions, with whom she has two boys.
Kellie Zephir – Summer Teaching Artist & PLANarts Coordinator
Kellie serves as a music teaching artist and event coordinator for PLANarts. Since 2010, Kellie has been the choral director at Overlea High School in Baltimore County, successfully expanding and improving the program so that it has represented the County Schools system at the State Festivals. Kellie is an accomplished vocalist who performs regularly around the Baltimore metro area, and she leads worship at Faith Christian Fellowship Church.
